Support A Child – Enrich a Life
This program makes it possible for an individual to sponsor the cost of education or total living expense for one underprivileged child in India. The aim is to support this child financially till he completes college or vocational education and is able to support himself. You can become a sponsor for a child in India for as little as $9 a month.

Asha’s role is to find a suitable education project run by a non profit organization in India which targets children getting access to the education they deserve to reach their full potential even though their social circumstances are challenging. Then Asha endeavors to find sponsors for the children in this project. Asha follows through by disbursing and monitoring the sponsors’ funds. The sponsor can also arrange a visit to the project, coordinating with the steward and the project coordinators in India (except few sensitive projects).
Even if, one to one communication with specific children can not be accommodated with the donor and donations with student names are not accepted, the donor can connect with a group of children via emails. Regular updates from the project can be also shared. Currently this program is being run by several Asha chapters. Asha for Education is not involved with any adoption process through this program.
The table below gives a brief description of the type of projects the sponsored children belong to. For more details you can visit each of the chapter sites. Becoming a sponsor is easy! To begin your sponsorship today, all you have to do is fill out the sign-up forms available at each of the chapter websites found below.
