The school is in Ramtekri village which is in one of the remote and rural areas of Madhya Pradesh. It provides education to the children of neighboring villages such as Dedla, Barkhedi, Kudra, Kaanakhedi, Kaalapahad, Mallipura, Raanikhejra, Kumbhraj and Beenaganj.
The literacy rate of this area is much lower than the national average. The area is mainly inhabited by Meena and Lodha communities which are SC/ST and are uneducated farmers and Laborers. Their livelihood depends on monsoons and in a bad year when the crop fails, they cannot even meet the day today requirements, leave alone fees leading to dropouts of the children. There are not many good schools in this area and quality of government schools is pathetic. The area is devoid of basic infrastructure such as electricity water and roads.
The vision behind the establishment of school is to provide quality education at minimal fees and these fees are further subsidized and made free for backward communities. There are waivers given during bad monsoon to ensure very little dropouts. Children and teachers commute from widely disbursed geographical villages. School has secured few buses on loan to pick the students from 8-10 surrounding villages. It is a Co-educational day school with an emphasis on holistic development of each and every child.

“Uchch Shiksha uttam vichar” is the mission of our school. Our school recognizes that each child is an individual; that all children are creative; that all children need to succeed. We respect the individual needs of the children, fosters a caring and creative environment to facilitate the social, emotional, moral, physical and intellectual development of each child.
The story of SSRVS started when few like minded villagers established the school in 2014 to provide quality education to the children of surrounding villages. The school was started with 290 students until 8th class and now has more than 500 students and every year a class was added to take care of the students who were passing out and didn’t have a way to continue their education. In 2016-2017, school education efforts were recognized by Central Board of Higher Education (CBSE), and school was expanded to secondary level (10th) to accommodate the education of students passing out. Again in 2017-18, school was further expanded to 11th and even 12th class was also approved by CBSE to be added next year.
