Our policy

Asha for Education respects the privacy of its online visitors. At our site, we do not collect personally identifiable information from individuals unless they provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. What information does Asha for Education collect?

As a donor, if you have indicated on the donation form that you would like to receive further information about Asha or about your local Asha chapter or about the specific purpose of your donation (such as a particular event or a particular project being supported), then we may contact you or send you information occasionally about future activities and events.
Asha for Education will never trade, share or sell user information to third parties. We will only share personally identifiable information with third parties in the following situations:
  1. The person submitting the information authorizes us to share it.
  2. Sharing the information is a necessary operation of the site, for instance, sending credit card information to an online authorizer to process a credit card transaction. These third parties are not allowed to use this information for any purpose except fulfilling orders and customer service. Asha for Education does not take responsibility for and has no control over the data collected and used by third parties that process online credit card transactions.
  3. We are required to share the information by law. Asha for Education reserves the right to cooperate with law enforcement officials in the investigation of alleged unlawful activities of our visitors related to electronic communication transmitted on our site. Asha for Education will have no legal liability for such disclosures.

Donor Privacy Policy
This section covers our privacy policy specific to donors – both online and offline.
  • Asha for Education will never share, trade or sell any donor personal information (such as email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses etc.) with any third party unless the donor has explicitly given us the permission to do so.
    • Exceptions to these, as stated above, are limited to sharing personal information to cooperate with law enforcement officials and transmitting personal information, such as credit card information, to online authorizers as required to process a transaction.
  • Asha for Education will never send mailings on behalf of other organizations unless the donor has authorized us to do so.
