Asha volunteers Sandeep Morthala & Pooja Panjawani share about their experience & journey in opening up the new Asha for Education Sweden chapter in 2021.
2020 was the year in which like-minded people from Stockholm met for the first time and planned to introduce Asha for Education in Sweden. Sandeep Morthala, who has been associated with Asha for Education for over 20 years, initiated discussions over Facebook for this. In the same year, we decided to start the Sweden chapter of Asha for Education and we were happy that Asha Zurich agreed to be a mentor chapter for us. We gave our chapter Swedish name – ‘Asha för Utbildning – and got registered with Stockholm’s Skatterverket i.e. Tax Authorities in Sweden.
