All of these kids are from poor families. Some of them have lost one of their parents. Parents of these kids work in the adjacent fields as farm labor/gardeners/maids
This is the initiative of a self-help group that was first one established in this village 8 years ago.
This self-help group is mainly empowering the women who are a part of it to exercise discipline with their finances and make decisions. It acts as a forum for networking and support as well.
