The Irula are tribal communities living, among other places, in the Thiruvallur district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Asha works with the Bharati trust to provide “motivational centers” for the children in certain Irula villages. At these centers, children receive tutoring, educational support, and encouragement to attend the government schools.
