Asha will be supporting the village school in Dobhi village for one year. This school benefits 127 students who come from low income families. The village and the surrounding region has one of the lowest literacy rate in India. The school is a formal primary school with classes till 6th grade. The school has three teachers. The funding is for running the school for one year.
The organization is primarily focussed towards providing education to children in rural Bihar. It is a non-profit organization working since 1992. Apart from education it also works with the local community to provide self help centers such as dairy farm, sewing center, vocational training center etc.
