Project Abhilasha aims to assist a non-profit organization that runs a school called Adarsh Sanatan Dharm High School in the Mahendragarh district of Haryana, India. This project supports 50 children. The fee per student is Rs. 500 ($15) per year and this includes a uniform and a pair of shoes.
These students could potentially drop out of school if no one steps forward to help them out. The school, where these children will be taught, is run by a charitable organisation. This school lacks basic amenities like toilets, drinking water, and tables/chairs. Students sit on the bare hard/cold floor.
Project 'ABHILASHA' intends to provide the support for construction of a toilet, water tank and also provide mats for the class rooms. The estimated cost is around $1500.00.
Asha has also provided funds in constructing of lavatories for the boys and girls, and a water tank for drinking water.
