The Serve and Share Association (SASA) Academy is a formal school continuously working for the education of children. The SASA Academy is located in a very far and remote village called Bajiyal Gaon (Akhori) which is part of the district Tehri Garhwal.

Dhung, in the Akhori area of Tehri Garhwal , is a cluster of more than 20 villages located in the interior Himalayan mountain range of Uttarakhand in North India. The area has faced rapid out-migration of workers to cities to escape poverty.

Being a remote area, it is difficult to attract teachers to stay there but with lots of hard work and commitment they have well educated staff (BA, B.ED, MA) that is teaching the children well to give them the opportunity for a better life. SASA is running the school for 24 years. In the school all children a treated equally no matter which cast or family background they are from.

At present 89 children are receiving good English medium education from class nursery to class 8th which is very important and good for the coming generation. The school gives hope for these villages and stems the migration outflow.

Children pass out from class 8th from SASA Academy with a good educational foundation. They then get admission in the Government Inter College easily and perform well in their studies. SASA has received good response and participation from local people and leaders with moral support and guidance from the government, which has enhanced their confidence.
Educate children with a focus in English medium and moral education, in the remote Akhori mountainous region of Uttarakhand.
