Their funding ensures that these students receive a holistic, high-quality education and are empowered to succeed in mainstream schools while fostering greater societal acceptance and inclusivity.
To see the visually impaired population of India as empowered and well-informed individuals working towards personal growth and development thereby leading life to its optimum potential:

? To empower persons with visual impairment with education and training to attain self-sufficiency through employment/self-employment thus,
? Integrating them with dignity in mainstream society.
? To prevent blindness as much as possible.
The National Association for the Blind (NAB) Delhi is part of the largest network of voluntary organizations serving blind individuals in India. The Delhi state branch of NAB was established in 1979 in RK Puram, New Delhi. NAB Delhi is a non-profit organization registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 on April 19, 1979, and has operated out of its current location in RK Puram since 1986.

For the past 45 years, NAB Delhi has been dedicated to serving children and adults with visual impairments. The organization has conducted a variety of residential and non-residential programs for children with visual impairments and additional disabilities. Starting humbly in 1986 with primary-level education, a hostel, and an administration/finance section, NAB Delhi has grown significantly. Currently, the team is comprised of 120 committed members who work tirelessly towards the organization's mission. NAB Delhi's primary goal is to enable visually impaired children to lead self-sufficient, dignified, and independent lives.

The guiding principle of NAB Delhi, "Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya" (Lead us from darkness to light), has remained central to its mission and is the foundation upon which all of its facilities and strategies are built. The motto, "Growth with Dignity," reflects the organization's vision for the visually impaired.

NAB Delhi is a proud recipient of the Best Institution Award from the Government of India and is certified for good governance by Credibility Alliance and for transparency by GuideStar.
