Asha Samajik Vidyalaya (ASV) Rajatalab is a formal school operating from Class 1 to 8th. It is the only ASV currently operational and is fully RTE compliant. It serves ~350 students from villages in Rajatalab tehsil (Sewapuri Block, Aaraji line area primarily). The library at the school caters not only to the school children but also to other children who go to govt or other schools in the area. The library is open over the weekends and primarily focuses on stocking syllabus books for students up to class 8th and prep material books for students up to class 12th for various entrance examinations (UPSC, State Civil services, Police entrance, etc)
The library has 650 enrolled student members (belonging to ASV and other schools in the area). It currently operates in a small cramped up room and is in need of expansion as well as restocking of books and study materials that wore out due to overuse during remote learning phase in the Covid-19 lockdown period
