e-Merge project is currently improving the quality of rural education specially in government run
schools by giving access to better educational infrastructure such as digital learning tools for
children. Total 100 Government Schools have appreciated this e-Merge Intervention through
certification as a unique intervention for improving the quality education of children in rural areas.
Our effort have been selected into NAVODAYA EXAM and we are expecting many more in current
year.

On a daily basis, Sankalp's teachers ( currently trained by Pratham India) visit government schools and teach students via e-learning content projected through laptops and activity learning kits. This has resulted in better engagement of students. Attendance rates have improved. Also in rural areas, government teacher availability is not consistent so Sankalp's teachers in many cases fill up the gap.

Asha for Education - SV will support Sankalp's initiative by funding laptops, teachers salaries, admin costs and e-learning content development. In addition, Asha Chennai's digital learning app - Asha Kanini will be utilized to impart education to Sankalp's beneficiaries. Teacher's training of Sankalp's atff with Asha Chennai has also been planned to be held in dceember 2019.
“Reaching to maximum number of deprived children through sankalp centres and bringing about sustainable changes in their lives through education”.

Imparting quality education to most disadvantaged, victimized and marginalized children by unique educational interventions primarily to include support for infrastructure such as classrooms, providing learning aids, promoting socially meaningful curriculum development and child-centered joyful learning techniques.
To support and cooperate with persons and groups including those already engaged in similar activities.
To raise the required human and other resources to achieve SANKALP’s mission.
To address, whenever possible, other issues affecting human life such as health care, environment, socio-economic aspects and women’s issues.
SANKALP’s aim is to catalyze socio-economic change primarily through the education of the underprivileged children. SANKALP primarily operates in rural areas in the districts of Durg and Bhilai in Chhatisgarh. Sankalp's journey started in 2010. The founders of SANKALP paid frequent visits to orphanages, old age homes, and centres for differently abled persons in and around Durg, Bhilai, Raipur region and mobilized resources for that less fortunate stratum of the society during early 2010. Placing children at the centre stage of its initiatives, the founders of SANKALP committed themselves to work for education of underprivileged children as they found it was the core area and key element impacting human development issues like poverty, healthcare, unemployment etc. The founders shared the belief that education is a critical requisite and an effective catalyst for social and economic change in society. By late 2010, many people have started believing in the founder’s idea, and gradually one after another, many people volunteered to work for the cause of education with founders. In the meeting held on 18.09.2010, it was decided to form a society with an objective of working for the cause of education of underprivileged children and the founders got “SANKALP EK PRAYAS SOCIETY” registered under CG Society Registration Adhiniyam on 15.03.2011. The group was named SANKALP to represent the commitment which had brought these individuals together and the hope that they aimed to bring into the lives of children in India.

SANKALP raises awareness of issues and supports children’s education projects. Our interventions include support for infrastructure, providing learning aids and promoting socially meaningful curriculum development and child-centered joyful learning techniques.

SANKALP, in addition to providing education to the underprivileged children, also addresses other topics affecting human life such as health care, environment, socio-economic aspects, etc. SANKALP’s projects are diverse in their location, target population, and approach to education. SANKALP has no political or religious affiliations and do not discriminate children on any basis, be it gender, religion, background, caste or race.
