Drop-outs and illiterate children are brought under the umbrella of night schools, and provided primary and life-oriented education with an aim to attain 100% literacy among children in the target villages. The project will affect about 250 children in ten villages in the area.
PACHE is a charitable trust working on health education and awareness in villages around Madurai. Project under evaluation at Asha-Princeton is for Night Schools for Illiterate and Drop-Out Children. Objective is to provide life-oriented education to children aged 6-14, attain 100% literacy in a phased manner, spread literacy- related awareness for and through children.
