Problems being addressed by the project-
The region is deprived of access to holistic education. People here are less aware about importance of education. Parijat Academy is trying to solve this problem in this tribal dominated backward region by encouraging people to send their children into school and provide quality education. The area is populated with tribal community with not much job opportunities. Parijat Academy has also started vocational training to solve this problem.
Goals the project is trying to achieve-
Parijat Academy aims to provide holistic education to children belonging to socio-economically backward tribal dominated community. It also aims at skilling the students with vocational training to ensure sustainable livelihood after completion of education.
How Asha is helping-
1. Support teachers’ salary
2. Fix wooden wall between classrooms to improve learning experience
3. Support cost of purchasing desks for classrooms
Supported by Asha Zurich and Asha Purdue
