In the CFSS programme, Teachers who are identified as in-school coaches from partner schools will go through a thoughtfully designed and rigorous professional development course to become effective and reflective coaches in their school.
The CFSS programme has two distinct components:
100 hours of training through workshops spread over 5-6 months. The training comprises modules on personal and professional development. Coaches are first introduced to modules that help them introspect into their own values on education as well as their well being and later reflect on current practices in teaching and learning.
50 hours of In-school support through an Internship. The internship looks at planning and preparation of lessons and the art of giving constructive and purposeful feedback following classroom observation.
Benefits For the School:
Builds a cadre of mentors & coaches within the school
Leverages on the strengths of existing teachers
Encourages and sustains good teaching practices within the school
Creates a culture of lifelong learning.
Provides opportunities to learn from each other leading to better collaboration and knowledge sharing
Have targeted professional development based on the needs of individual teachers
Benefits For the Teachers:
Feel supported and more postive towards professional development
Helps in collaboration and sharing of best practices
Enhanced job satisfaction
Creates a growth mindset
