Divya Jyothi is completely dependent on the donations they receive from multiple donors that can be erratic in nature resulting in delayed payments. They are primarily in need of a constant source of financial support to operate their computer training center. Funds from Asha for Education will enable Divya Jyothi to employ two computer trainers and a driver for continuous operation of the computer training center.
The organization's goal is to provide high standard welfare, support the visually impaired through education, employment, scholarships and accommodation to promote their independence, dignity and quality of life.
Divya Jyothi Charitable Trust was established on December 01, 2008 by four individuals who today are the trustees of the organization. The Managing Trustee is Shivaprakash M.A, He has completed his post-graduation in Political Science and is now pursuing a doctorate. He is currently working with the Indian Post Office as a Postal Assistant. The other three Trustees are Srishaila L. (LLM), Lokesh S and Dhananjaya S. The organization is of blind people and for blind people.
