This year, Asha Berkeley supported 10 teachers' salaries for one year. To retain their current set of teachers, LSS needed to increase teachers' salaries and requested additional support for salaries.
This project aims to run a school for the poorer sections starting from nursery level to the eleventh standard.
This project aims to run a school for the poorer sections starting from nursery level to the eleventh standard. Little Stars School (LSS) has expanded from 7 children to now over 900 children in 2 buildings. The school teaches basic education (math, science, reading, etc.) in addition to vocational training and hygiene/grooming. Most students are children of migrant workers or from illiterate families.

There is also a girls' shelter for some of the girls at the school. The shelter is also expanding, and currently has 23 girls.
