Team Asha's Gate River Run 2012 Team Asha UFlorida, the runner's group of Asha UFlorida, is participating in the Annual Gate River Run (15K) in Jacksonville on March 10th, 2012. This is one of the initiatives taken by our chapter to raise awareness and funds for educational projects in India. In the past two years, our Team raised over $45,000 through the donation of over 1000 generous donors during the Gate River Run campaigns. This year, we have set a target of $30,000 for Team Asha's campaign through Gate River Run 2012. This 2012, we hope to break every record that our team has set in previous years including amount raised, runners participating, donors approached and most importantly lives touched and lives changed! Check out how we are doing in terms of fundraising at the thermometer to the left. Please help us in this journey by running, donating or plain encouraging! Go Team Asha ! ![]() Sponsors

About the Gate River RunThe Gate River Run has all the ingredients of a great running event. The course starts at the Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, runs through the heart of downtown Jacksonville where the race crosses the St. Johns River over the Main Street Bridge, then runs through historic San Marco, down Atlantic Blvd to the beautiful and scenic St. Nicolas area, and then crosses the river for the second time over the green monster, the Hart Bridge, to finish back at the stadium. Live bands perform at ten different locations on the course to keep you pumped up through-out the race, waters stations are located at every mile, medical stations can be found at several points along the course, and thousands of spectators come out for yard parties all along the route. The Gate River Run is more than a race. It is a major happening in Jacksonville. ResourcesGate River Run 2012 Official Website
