Project Description
Wings School is a day school that works to transform the lives of girls from villages near Hyderabad, India. Its mission is to change the lives of the girls by providing them with free, quality education and job training so that they can be examples within their communities. Our goal is to lift the girls from poverty to prosperity and empower them to take charge of their destiny.

The Wings School is a day school run by Hadassah Welfare Association, a Secunderabad-based charity. Wings enrolls 150 girls from some of the area’s poorest families and offers them a high quality education and two healthy meals a day. In addition to a rigorous education, the girls are offered dance, music, and art classes for enrichment. The school’s Tae Kwon Do program provides the girls with physical education and essential self defense instruction. Wings’ Tae Kwon Do team competes at the national championships annually. Wings provides a safe, nourishing environment for girls from very dire circumstances.
