Letter to BGM requesting refund of I2 fundsDate: Mon, 21 Aug 2000Attn: Mr. Manjunath Rao Dear Mr. Rao, Asha for Education takes immense pride in its involvement with the projects and also in the frequent progress reports it receives from them. That is what makes it really difficult for me to write this letter to you on our group’s behalf. We have been monitoring the situation at your school for the last year or so. I am sorry to say that we at Asha are not happy with the way things are going there. There has been no progress on the construction of the school. The last visit to your school by our longtime member Shankar Srinivas and the feedback we received from Mr. Bodharao Kulkarni indicates that our funds are not being utilized for the reason they were given out in the first place. We have limited resources and we prefer to give them to the projects that will utilize them effectively. I hereby ask your office to return the amount of Rs. 457800 ($10,500
converted using the then prevailing exchange rate of 43.60 Rupees for
one Dollar) to Asha that was given to your institution for the construction
of the school. Please make the check payable to “Asha for Education” and
kindly send it to the address at the top of this letter by September 15,
