Hi everyone,
I am excited to be part of a dynamic and dedicated team that believes in providing educational means to underprivileged children in India in order to bring socio-economic change. As part of Team Asha, individuals can help provide educational resources by fundraising for a special cause while training for a marathon or triathlon to achieve their goal.
Since my involvement with Asha, I am proud to have completed my 1st marathon in ‘08. In 2009, Team Asha Chicago participated in their 1st Triathlon and I was proud to be a Tri mentor as well.
In December of ‘09, we had the opportunity to visit a school funded by the Chicago Asha chapter in Pune, Maharashtra. With the help of the teachers, we determined that the school is in great need of the following items: a projector, a computer, and the means of proper transportation for children to go to school safely. On Aug 29, 2010, I will once again particpate in the world’s largest Chicago Triathlon with Team Asha and I am excited to be raising funds for the education of children in India.
Please help me reach my goal!
