Bob Morvay
On Sunday, October 10th, 2010 I will join others from Team Asha to help provide home and education opportunities to underprivileged children in India by running in the 2010 Chicago Marathon. By making a pledge on my behalf, you are assisting in the support of education and basic needs for underprivileged children in India.
My reasons for running this event are both for charity and personal health. I needed a good reason beyond my own personal health needs that could push me to continue to train so that I could attempt this run. I am hopeful that I will be able to raise some money for the underprivileged children of India which will in turn push me to make sure that I follow through on your commitment of donations. Prior to April, 2010 I had never run a stretch of one mile. Although I am considered in average physical condition from an outward appearance, I have been battling high blood pressure and cholesterol for over a decade. Running is a way to control my condition. Asha is training me to run which is aiding my health and I am raising money for children in India. Nothing could be better!
My goal is to raise at least $1,800 this year. Please help me reach that goal with your pledge.
