About Me: I’m currently a 23-year-old PhD student at Purdue University. I’ve been an avid cyclist for several years, with two collegiate racing seasons under my belt. The Chicago Half Marathon this September will be my first distance running event.

Why Asha? After graduating college, I took a year off to travel, spending six months living and exploring in India. I was enthralled with the country’s colorful, beautiful cultural traditions, but was also dispirited by the overwhelming poverty that afflicts so many of India’s people. I believe in Asha’s motivation – that access to education is a right for all children, and that it is a powerful tool with which to break the cycle of poverty.
My goal: $700 by September
Thank you so much for visiting. Your contributions are much appreciated.
