Work an Hour 2015

Dear Asha Patron,

Asha for Education invites you to join our 17th Annual Work an Hour campaign. Work an Hour highlights the issue of illiteracy in India to donors worldwide and symbolically requests you to donate an hour, or more, of your salary towards education of underprivileged children.

This year, we have 13 incredible, life changing projects reaching over 4000 children across India, addressing issues such as caste-based discrimination, rural and tribal education, girl empowerment, sheltering children of sex workers, educating children of migrant laborers, and special education for differently-abled children. For just an hour of your day, you can help us reach our goal of $185,000 that goes directly to our projects!

In 2015, 11.9 million students in India are currently out of school. The reasons vary from financial reasons to a lack of accessibility to child labor, to name a few. These children are struggling on the sidelines as educational opportunities rarely call upon them.

One hour is all it takes. Donate today!

Over next few weeks, you will have the opportunity to learn about our projects and how Asha for Education is helping these children realize their dreams for a better life. We hope you take time to learn more about projects and help the cause.

Thank you for your support!

Warm Regards,
Asha for Education
