Each year, people like you, from around the world come together in a demonstration of great human spirit, to help educate underprivileged children in India. Work-An-Hour is Asha for Education’s summer-long global, online fundraising campaign based on a simple concept: “Donors are requested to symbolically Work An Hour towards the cause of children’s education by donating an hour’s worth or more of their salary.“
This year we bring 11 projects reaching over 3500 children spanning across Indiaaddressing issues such as caste-based discrimination, rural and tribal education, girl empowerment, sheltering children of sex workers, educating children of migrant laborers, and special education for differently-abled children. Over the next 8 weeks, with your generous help, our goal is to raise at-least $133,000 on behalf of these projects.
